The Gender Equality Mainstreaming – Technology (GEM-TECH) Award is an annual special achievement award for outstanding performers and role models in Gender Equality and mainstreaming in the area of ICTs. It is an ITU-UN Women Joint Award. WISAT is among the five shortlisted nominations for GEM-TECH Awards 2014 Category 5, Closing the ICT Gender Gap. WISAT was nominated for Dr. Nancy Hafkin’s work on the ITU-UNCTAD report, “Measuring ICT and Gender: An Assessment – Report prepared for the Partnership on Measuring ICT for Development.”
