Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) – Gender Mainstreaming

Sophia Huyer, Executive Director of WISAT, made a presentation at the Secretariat of the Climate Technology Centre & Network (CTCN) on January 17, as part of the CTCN’s work to develop a Gender Mainstreaming Strategy for the organization. The CTCN was established by the United Nations to promote the transfer of technologies to developing countries for low carbon and climate resilient development. It provides technology solutions, capacity building and advice on policy, legal and regulatory frameworks. The Network has asked WISAT to help it develop a strategy to increase the participation of women in its operations and integrate gender in transfer of climate technologies in the developing world.
