Nancy Hafkin, WIGSAT Senior Associate, was inducted into the Internet Society’s Internet Hall of Fame in Geneva, Switzerland. Nancy was recognized as a Global Connector for her pioneering and innovative work in the area of networking, development information, and electronic communications in Africa with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.
Nancy was part of the first induction ceremony of the Hall of Fame, along with other luminaries including Vint Cerf and Al Gore, at a ceremony on April 23, 2012.
